AVON Haul

Here are some items I recently purchased from AVON.  These items are a few of the new products that have come out recently and I wanted to check them out.

PERFECT EYEBROW KIT:  $6.00 This is the new brow kit.  There are 4 in this line.  I purchased the darkest color in deep brown.  You get a wax and the brow powder.  There is a dual ended brush and a mirror included. First use the wax to lay down the brow hairs and then the color to fill in and add volume to your brows.  I like this product even though on my left eye I do not have as much hair as on my right brow.  The other colors are Blonde, Auburn and Soft Brown.  They are long lasting and non-smudging.  I find that this product does last all day and is a good deal.

WRAPPED IN VELVET EYESHADOW PALETTE:  $10.00   This a beautiful palette.  It comes with 5 colors.  The first 4 are shimmers and the black is matte.  They are very pigmented and give great buildable color and go on like velvet.  The first shades are a gold, peach gold, mauve, brownish/mauve and matte black.  The colors blend well and are long lasting.  You get a sponge applicator that is dual ended.  The larger end can be used for applying the color to the lid and the smaller end, which is tapered, can be used for adding color to the outside corners and crease.  I really love this palette and it is in a thin, sleek compact that can go in any handbag or clutch without taking up much space and you can get a few eye looks from it.  There are 2 palettes in the line.  The one I have is Crushed Velvet.  The other one is Velvet Smoke.  These are limited for the holidays, so get them both before the go away.

NAIL EXPERTS CUTICLE SCRUB: $6.50 each  This is another new item.  This scrub is kind of sticky and feels a bit strange and smells lightly of coconut.  Just massage onto your cuticles and wash off with soap and water.  I have flaky cuticles and wanted to see if this would help.  It does get rid of any dead skin on and around the cuticles.  It is a gentle abrasive for your cuticles.  It is infused with aloe vera extract and vitamins C and E.

BRUSHED METALS NAIL ENAMEL:  $6.00 each  These are also new and limited edition items.  There are 6 colors in this collection.  The two shown are Brushed Gold and Brushed Copper.  These have a finished that reminds me a bit of the OPI Sands collection.  These dry to a rough texture.  They look similar in color but one is darker.  If you like a uniquely textured nail polish try these.

The prices shown are the regular prices.  These may be on sale at anytime.  I did get all items as sale prices.  Check online at avon.com or with your local AVON representative to see if any or all of these items are on sale.  The cuticle scrub and the eyebrow kits will probably be around for a while.  The nail colors and the eyeshadow are limited edition and could go away at any time.

BEAUTY BOX - OCTOBER

SWISS CO Toe Separators:  These are pretty self explanatory.  Use these glittery pink separators when you give yourself a pedicure and look girly while you do it.

LA FRESH Travel-lite Facial Cleansing Wipes:  You get 8 in this sample and they are like most facial wipes.  No water needed.  These are for all skin types and contain vitamin E, aloe and cucumber.   They did not break me out and are very gentle and have a soft fragrance like soap.  These are great to pop into your travel bag or purse for quick and easy use.

NUBAR NAIL COLOR:  This is a vegetarian nail enamel that doesn't have all the bad chemicals in it.  It is a lovely mylar glitter polish called Kristal.  I have it swatched so you can see how it looks on different colors and alone.  It is a nice addition to any nail collection.

MODEL CO Cheek + Lip Tint in Rosy Red:  If you like a 2-n-1 product, then is one is for you.  Use as a lip stain and also cheek color.

AVEENO Daily Moisturizing lotion:  A lot of you may already be familiar with this product that can be found in most drug stores.  It has oatmeal which helps with dry skin.  I, personally, use AVON's Moisture Therapy Oatmeal lotion, but like this one as well.  I get dry more in the winter.  I use the AVON Skin So Soft body oil in the summer and the oatmeal lotion in the winter.  It really depends on your skin type and also where you live and also any medical conditions or medications that can make your skin dryer.
