Wedding Nail Art - White Butterflies

Here is a great design for a winter wedding.  Delicate butterflies with a bit of scrolling.  Simple yet elegant.  Enjoy.  Thanks for watching.

Beauty Box 5 for September

Here is my review of the Beauty Box 5 for September.  This is my second Beauty Box 5 review. Please check out the review for August on my you tube channel http://youtu.be/F8C1JtRJXYI.

BellaPierre Cosmetics Shimmer Powder in Celebration:  This is a fine powder that can be used all over the body to add shimmer to your natural color or to highlight a tan.  This would be great for the summer and sitting out at the pool or the beach to add some sparkle.  The color is subtle so it will not look like you fell into a vat of fairy dust.  Add to your moisturizer or lotion to add a bit of glitz if you are going out on the town.

Body Drench Lip Drench lip balm in Eucalyptus:  I am in LOVE with this lip balm  I do not use lipstick that often and lip gloss not so much but I love my lip balms and I am LOVING this one.  It smells like a pack of spearmint gum.  You just want to eat it so bad.  It has a tingling affect when applied, which I like and it has a great taste.

Fine Featherheads Fly Ties:  These are really cute hair ties in fall colors.  You get 4, in yellow, orange, burgundy and coral.  These would be great to keep in your purse or desk or in the car for those times when you need to pull your hair back.

Skin Shop Skin Smoothing and Soothing Eye Cream:   This comes in a sample tube.  It is concentrated so you only need a bit.  Apply to the eye bone under the eye to help reduce lines and puffiness and smooth the skin day or night.

Every Beauty Makeup Remover Pads with Argan Oil:  These pads are infused with Argan oil and are 100% natural, alcohol free and contain vitamin E.  Just add water and cleanse. They do not have the structure of most makeup wipes since they are cotton and will shred a bit during application and may tear.  My skin can be sensitive and these do not break me out   You get 5 pads.

I hope you enjoyed with review.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask. Please check out the web site for Beauty Box 5 http://beautybox5.com/ and sign up for $12 per month.  The items are random so it is like a surprise every month.  Also, check out my you tube channel for more videos.

Walgreens Haul

Here are some items recently purchased from Walgreens.  I was looking for a finishing powder and found a lot more.  Isn't that always how it happens.  You go in for one thing and come out with more than you intended to purchase.  Oh well.  *smile*.

Wet N Wild Megalast eye liner in black:  $1.89.  I have found these to work well on my upper lash line as far as staying power.  I have a problem finding liners that work well on my lower lash line.  They tend to smudge or "melt" off making me look like I have a black eye..lol.  The formula for these liners is a bit dry which helps them to last a bit longer than a liner that is smooth and creamy.  At least on my eyes.  I still get a bit of smudging on the lower line but if I add an eyeshadow over it, it tends to make it last longer.  For the price they are worth it and they make great eyebrow pencils too because of the dry formula.

Wet N Wild Idol Eyes Eyeshadow Crayons in Granite and Techno:  $2.99.  These are really creamy eyeshadow crayons.  I love the pigmentation in them.  They go on really smooth and are easy to blend.  I love Wet N Wild products.  They have come a long way.  These are great when you are on the go on traveling.  Just put them in your bag and go.  Purchase a few different shades for more looks.  You can even use them as a liner.  Great deal.  You will need have a large sharpener for these crayons.

ELF 32 shadow palette: $5.99.  There were 2 palettes available.  The other was in a book format where you could close it up.  Most of the shades were similar but the palette I chose has a few different shades.  The palette has both matte and shimmer shades.  The matte shades are a bit dry but make them great for blending.  The shimmer shades are very nicely pigmented and soft.  You will have to build on some of the colors though.  I love that is goes from really light, to the matte black and shimmer black.  You can do so many looks with this palette.  I comes with one ELF Professional Eyeshadow Brush and one small double ended applicator.  I did not like that it came with only one double ended applicator because there is enough space in the bottom of the palette for at least 4.  Since there are 32 colors, I would only think that there would be more applicators.  The brush is great, but more applicators would have been even better.  It does have a mirror along the top of the palette when you open it.  For the price, it is worth and I will be using in a lot for the Fall.  I love ELF products.  For those of us on a budget, ELF is a great find.

Revlon PhotoReady Translucent Finisher:  $10.99.  This is what I was looking for when I sent into Walgreens to start with and ended up the so many other items.  I wanted something to go over my foundation and would set it.  This products works well.  It works on all skin colors due to it being translucent.  A little bit goes a long way with this powder.  I have mostly oily skin and this powder controls the oiliness very well.  It is light and not heavy feeling on the skin.
It comes with a nice sized mirror and a small circular brush.  The brush is soft but not one I would use.  I apply this powder with a large face brush from ELF.  I don't usually spend over $10 for a makeup product, but I did on this item and find that it is worth the extra expense.  I will last me for a long time.

Maybelline FIT me shine free foundation stick in Toffee Carmel 330:  $6.99.  I really like this product.  I has foundation and powder in one.  The outside ring in the foundation and the inside ring is the powder.  It is very lightweight on the skin and the color "fits me" perfectly.  I dab it on and use a foundation brush to blend.  I then go over lightly with the finishing powder and it lasts well for me. Since I have oily skin, this helps to control it as it is shine free and it lives up to that claim.  I may be purchasing another just to keep as a backup but this one should last me a while.  I got it on sale and Walgreen's is always having sales so it may come up again for a cheaper price later on.  There are many colors to choose from so anyone can find their perfect shade.

Sinful Shine with Gel Tech in Go Glossy:  $2.99.  These are new from Sinful Colors.  They are to have the same shine and gloss without a top coat as a gel manicure.  The formula is very thin, unlike a gel polish is rather thick.  You will need several coats.  The shine is very good.  You will not need a top coat.

Sinful Colors Glitter Polish in Charmed:  $.99 on sale.  This is a great glitter polish.  This is not a glitter top coat.  I will overwhelm any other color you put it over so it does great on its own with a bit of top coat.  Very sparkly and reflects the rainbow.

Thanks for all who are viewing my first blog post.  If you have any questions on suggestions, please feel free.  No negative or rude comments please.  Stay tuned for more.  Check out my you tube channel for more.

starting to blog for the first time...

I am going to try my hand at blogging.  I set up my blog last year but was not familiar as to how it works.  I will be blogging about the same things posted on my you tube channel MsCharlies Nails.  I will have more pictures and reviews of items in my haul videos.  For those who have not checked out my channel, I upload every Tuesday and Thursday for nail tutorials.  I also have a Polish of the Week, hauls, tip and other random stuff.  I may be doing some makeup tutorials later on.  If you have any suggestions, please let me know.  I am going to start with baby steps to see how this goes.  I appreciate your patience and would love any suggestions.  Thanks for checking out my blog.
