Walgreens Haul

Here are some items recently purchased from Walgreens.  I was looking for a finishing powder and found a lot more.  Isn't that always how it happens.  You go in for one thing and come out with more than you intended to purchase.  Oh well.  *smile*.

Wet N Wild Megalast eye liner in black:  $1.89.  I have found these to work well on my upper lash line as far as staying power.  I have a problem finding liners that work well on my lower lash line.  They tend to smudge or "melt" off making me look like I have a black eye..lol.  The formula for these liners is a bit dry which helps them to last a bit longer than a liner that is smooth and creamy.  At least on my eyes.  I still get a bit of smudging on the lower line but if I add an eyeshadow over it, it tends to make it last longer.  For the price they are worth it and they make great eyebrow pencils too because of the dry formula.

Wet N Wild Idol Eyes Eyeshadow Crayons in Granite and Techno:  $2.99.  These are really creamy eyeshadow crayons.  I love the pigmentation in them.  They go on really smooth and are easy to blend.  I love Wet N Wild products.  They have come a long way.  These are great when you are on the go on traveling.  Just put them in your bag and go.  Purchase a few different shades for more looks.  You can even use them as a liner.  Great deal.  You will need have a large sharpener for these crayons.

ELF 32 shadow palette: $5.99.  There were 2 palettes available.  The other was in a book format where you could close it up.  Most of the shades were similar but the palette I chose has a few different shades.  The palette has both matte and shimmer shades.  The matte shades are a bit dry but make them great for blending.  The shimmer shades are very nicely pigmented and soft.  You will have to build on some of the colors though.  I love that is goes from really light, to the matte black and shimmer black.  You can do so many looks with this palette.  I comes with one ELF Professional Eyeshadow Brush and one small double ended applicator.  I did not like that it came with only one double ended applicator because there is enough space in the bottom of the palette for at least 4.  Since there are 32 colors, I would only think that there would be more applicators.  The brush is great, but more applicators would have been even better.  It does have a mirror along the top of the palette when you open it.  For the price, it is worth and I will be using in a lot for the Fall.  I love ELF products.  For those of us on a budget, ELF is a great find.

Revlon PhotoReady Translucent Finisher:  $10.99.  This is what I was looking for when I sent into Walgreens to start with and ended up the so many other items.  I wanted something to go over my foundation and would set it.  This products works well.  It works on all skin colors due to it being translucent.  A little bit goes a long way with this powder.  I have mostly oily skin and this powder controls the oiliness very well.  It is light and not heavy feeling on the skin.
It comes with a nice sized mirror and a small circular brush.  The brush is soft but not one I would use.  I apply this powder with a large face brush from ELF.  I don't usually spend over $10 for a makeup product, but I did on this item and find that it is worth the extra expense.  I will last me for a long time.

Maybelline FIT me shine free foundation stick in Toffee Carmel 330:  $6.99.  I really like this product.  I has foundation and powder in one.  The outside ring in the foundation and the inside ring is the powder.  It is very lightweight on the skin and the color "fits me" perfectly.  I dab it on and use a foundation brush to blend.  I then go over lightly with the finishing powder and it lasts well for me. Since I have oily skin, this helps to control it as it is shine free and it lives up to that claim.  I may be purchasing another just to keep as a backup but this one should last me a while.  I got it on sale and Walgreen's is always having sales so it may come up again for a cheaper price later on.  There are many colors to choose from so anyone can find their perfect shade.

Sinful Shine with Gel Tech in Go Glossy:  $2.99.  These are new from Sinful Colors.  They are to have the same shine and gloss without a top coat as a gel manicure.  The formula is very thin, unlike a gel polish is rather thick.  You will need several coats.  The shine is very good.  You will not need a top coat.

Sinful Colors Glitter Polish in Charmed:  $.99 on sale.  This is a great glitter polish.  This is not a glitter top coat.  I will overwhelm any other color you put it over so it does great on its own with a bit of top coat.  Very sparkly and reflects the rainbow.
