MEIJER HAUL

Here are a few items I recently purchased from my local Meijer store.  I was looking for some items for the upcoming Halloween season and found a few other items as well.

ELF Baked Eyeshadows in Toasted and Burnt Plum:  on sale 2 for $5.  I had heard about these on you tube and wanted to try them out.  I have several baked eyeshadows from AVON and Sally's and I really like them and the pigmentation.  The ELF baked shadows are really pretty and very pigmented.  All baked eyeshadows can be used wet or dry.  When dry, the color is subtle and when we,t the color is boosted 100%.  I use them both ways depending on the affect I  want.  The Toasted is a wonderful bronze color with a nice shine to it.  It makes a great lid color wet or dry depending on how intense you would like the color to be.   The Burnt Plum is a beautiful mauvey plum color that would be great as a crease or liner.  You could also use it as a lid color with a darker plum or black in the crease.  The price is right and you get a lot of product with great quality.

Toasted:  dry (left) wet (right)

Burnt Plum:  dry (left) wet (right)

Un-named Orange Glitter polish:  $2.99.  I wanted an orange glitter polish as I did not have one in my collection and saw this one.  The glitter is a good size, not too big or too small.  You can even use these to decorate a nail art design with no problem with it not being seen in the design.  I will try to incorporate this into a Halloween nail art.

WET N WILD Fantasy Makers Glow in the Dark top coat:  $2.99.  I have several glow in the dark top coats from Sally's and NYC.  I had always noticed the Wet n Wild one during the Halloween season but never tried it out.  You need at least 3-5 coats.  You will need to subject you nails to light, whether UV or a regular light source, to see the glow.  I used a UV light for several minutes and took it in the bathroom.  I could see the glow but it was not very bright.  It would not pick up with my camera.  I will try to experiment with these to see if there are any other ways to get these to perform and get back with you.

Thanks for checking out my blog for this haul from Meijer.  Don't forget to go to my you tube channel for more hauls, tutorials and reviews.
