I got some great deals from ebay recently. It took a while to get everything so that I could do this review, but it was worth it. Ebay is a great place to find items you have been looking forward to trying. Most of the time you can find sample size products, so if you don't like them, you did not pay a lot for it. All of the products listed below are some that I have already tried and some new that I have not. I was very happy with all of these items. Please enjoy and thanks for reading. Make sure to check out the video below for more info and many more videos on my youtube channel.
Heavenly Silk Daily Skin Nourishing Moisturizer Anti-Aging & Firming Lotion: A long name for a great product. I have talking about this product before in my Hearts n Horns and my Beauty Box review. I first heard of this product from a Beauty Box and fell in love with it. It is a rich, scented moisturizer that you can use all over your body. I use it only on my face. Before I put on my primer I use this to help moisturize any dry patches. I get them around my nose and mouth and sometimes under my eyes. This lotion takes care of that dryness with no problem. I only paid $3.99 for this small size. The larger bottles run about $11. This one will last me for a while and I may consider getting a bigger bottle.
ULTA eyeshadow single: I do not have any ULTA eyeshadow and I wanted to try them out. This color is called Twilight and it is a light taupe shade that would be a great all over the lid color. It can also be used as a transition color too. I used it over the Maybelline Color Tattoo shade in Bad to the Bronze, so that it would last all day. I also used the Urban Decay original primer potion. With the fall coming sooner than we would like, this color would be perfect and I plan on using it all winter. The texture is smooth and it blends nicely. I paid about $1 for this.
NYX eyeshadow single: Here is another great color for the upcoming Fall season. This color is called Walnut. It is a toasty, nutty color which goes with the name. It makes a great lid color or transition color. This one was about $1.00 too.
Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush: I was looking for a blush to use and found this one. I don't usually wear blush but wanted to try it and wanted a color that would flatter and not make me look like a clown. I found the Wet n Wild blush in Pearlescent Pink that I showed in a recent haul and this one. It looks very bright, but this cream blush is very nice and light. It is very creamy and blends well. You can use a brush but I use my finger. It sheers out really well to a light pink blush of color. It is very soft and spongy too. The price of this was $1.50.
URBAN DECAY Pigment: I bought another one of these a few months ago in Rock Star which is a beautiful purple. This color is Goddess. It is a blue/black with sparkle. These pigments are very "pigmented" and blend out well. I have not used this one yet but the one in Rock Star I have used and really like it. I love purple eyeshadow and Rock Star is a great on. This one should go on as well as Rock Star, but I will let you know. I paid about $3.00 for this product.
URBAN DECAY Primer Potion Sample Card: This sample card has one of each primer potion (original, eden, sin and anti-aging). There is a lot of product in each of these samples, so you will not need primer for a long time. I have been using the original, sin and anti-aging. They are long wearing and help to keep your eyeshadow from creasing. I find that they last, on myself, for up to 10 hours. I have not experienced it for 24 hours as the card states. It also helps to keep eyeliner on the lower lash line from smuding. I always put primer on my lower lash line, apply a liner and then a shadow over the top for staying power. They all go on sheer. Sin has a bit of shimmer to it but not much. Eden is a matte. The anti-aging claims to give 100% measurable improvement in the appearance of fine lines and brigher skin. I have not used the anti-aging long enough to see those kind of results, yet. This is a good way to try out the primer potions to see which you like better without having to spend a lot of money. I paid $2.50 for this sample card.
Too Faced Shadow Insurance Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer: I have been trying different eye shadow primers lately and will be doing a review soon. This primer is a good one. It is a bit oily, so you will need to shake it up or massage the tube first. It goes on like any other primer. It helps your eye shadow last all day. I really like this primer. I keeps my shadow on for approximately 6-8 hours before it starts to break down and start to crease. I paid $3.00 for this sample size.
Tarte Clean Slate Poreless 12-hr Perfecting Primer: I am totally in love with this primer. I raved about the Victoria Secret Air FX primer but this one is, hands down, much better. This is a sample size, but it will last for a while. This primer keeps my make up fresh. It smooths your pores so that your foundation goes on smoothly and evenly. I will be getting full size tube. This sample size was $2.50
Tarte Prime Shine and Define To Go Kit: I only paid $8.00 for this kit which can sell for $20 or more. You get a face primer, an Illuminating BB Cream and a mascara in Gifted. I like the BB cream as it is light and adds a nice highlight to your skin. I did have to shake it up a bit as it does have an oil base. As you can see below, when I first took off the top you can see the oil and you can see the difference after I shook it up. The mascara has a dry formula, which I like and the brush are natural bristles which separates and does not clump. I have heard reviews that this mascara transfers, but I have not experienced that at all. It defines my lashes and is light and weightless.
CLINIQUE Naturally Gentle Eye Makeup Remover: I have been experimenting with eye makeup removers and eye primers. After my experience with the Wet N Wild eye makeup remover, I wanted to see what else was out there. This eye makeup remover is very gentle as the name implies. It is a lotion that you apply to your eyes and then wipe off with a tissue, or cotton round or even a wash cloth. It takes off your eye makeup without irritation. There is no smell which is good too. I only paid $1.50 for this, and CLINIQUE can be rather pricey.
LANCOME Bi-Facil Eye Make Up Remover: This is a really gentle remover as well. It has to be shaken to combine the two layers. I use this with a cotton round and it takes off all my eye makeup with no problem. It does not irritate my eyes at all. There is no smell to this remover. I will look into getting another one of these. I really like it. It paid about $2.00 for this sample size.
e.l.f The Beauty Encyclopedia Smoky Edition: I paid less than $5 for this palette. The eyeshadows are substantial. You get a lot of product. I did not like that there was only one applicator, but I use brushes anyway, but would like to have seen a few more applicators included. There is also a black eyeliner. The mirror in this palette is a good size. I like the eyeshadows, but would have liked to see a bit more color choices. While there are some nice shades, I would have liked to see a brown or beige. I have used a few of these and the pigmentation is ok. I really like the matte black. It is really deep. Most of the colors are sheer and you have to build them up. The texture of some are very soft and some are chalky. The black is very soft. The e.l.f eyeshadows I have are much better than those in this palette. It is a bit of a hit or miss.
Real Technique DUPS: These brushes resemble the Real Technique brushes. I paid less than $5 for all three. The two that are identical, I use for powder. They are very soft and apply my finishing powder very well. The tapered brush I use for powder when setting my concealer. It gets into the hollow of my eye very well. There are so many of these brushes available on ebay for almost nothing. I have since gotten another one that is similar to the two identical ones, but it is not as dense and has a domed head. If you don't want to spend the money for the Real Techniques brushes or cannot get them, these are a great alternative.
I hope you enjoyed this review of my recent purchased from ebay. Please check out the video below for more info. If you have any questions, please leave a comment. I would love to hear from you. Thanks for reading and watching.
