I am getting around to doing this a bit late but, hey, better late than never. These are my product faves and fails for April 2014. If you have used or use any of these products, please leave a comment.
HORNS
HARD CANDY eyeshadow primer: I got this when I purchased a hard candy quad on ebay. I did not like the shadows as they were very chalky, so I gave them to a friend. I kept the primer to see how I would like it. I like that it goes on clear, but within a few hours my eyeshadow began to crease. I have tried it with many different eyeshadows and the result is always the same. I will use this use since it is just a sample. I am planning to do a review on different eyeshadow primers and also do an eyeshadow collection. Let me know what you think in the comments.
AVON AEROVOLUME Mascara: This is a new item from AVON. I loved the formula for this mascara. It is very lightweight and went on so smoothly. I had no clumps or transfer. I really liked it....UNTIL...it fell apart. I had only used it a few times and now it is useless. The top piece is broken and below, is the result. I will look into purchasing another, but I was very disappointed.
MAYBELLINE FIT ME concealer - Cafe: This was on sale at Walgreen's and I featured it in a haul not to long ago. This is the perfect color for my skin tone. There is no creasing or fading or caking. I LOVE this concealer, even better than my fave from AVON. I will look into getting another, just in case they are doing to discontinue it.
It's So Big mascara: I got this is a Beauty Box and I LOVE this mascara. It is lightweight and adds a bit of length. I like the hourglass brush which distributes the product nicely. I have no problem with transfer or flaking. There is also no clumping. I will look into purchasing a bigger bottle.
BELLAPIERRE Makeup Base: I got this in a Beauty Box as well and this stuff is worth it's weight in gold. You can use it as a makeup base or concealer, but I use it as an eyeshadow primer. There is NO CREASING at all. No fading either. I LOVE this primer. You get a lot in the pot, so you will have it for a long time. It looks chalky, but it goes on with no color and a little bit is all you need. The regular price for this is $18.99 per pot.
FORTUNE COOKIE SOAP Cuticle Butter: I just spoke about this recently in my empties video. I just repurchased another pot. I got the original one in my Fortune Cookie Soap Box for Spring 2014. There are so many different oils in this, it is no wonder it is so moisturizing. It keeps my cuticles hydrated for hours without any dryness. It is very soft and does melt into your cuticles, just like butter. This sells for $8.95 per pot.
I hope you enjoyed the products I liked and did not like for April 2014. The video for this review is below. If you have any concerns, questions, or suggestions, please let me know. Thanks for reading and watching.
